Colored Pencil Lizzard

Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Wednesday Challenge
I have been focused on Copic markers for a number of years.  I could not color so it took many many classes and much practice for me to feel proficient with Copics and happy with my coloring.

I've been wanting to go back and try colored pencils again.  (I especially love colored pencils on kraft colored cardstock.)

This Stamp-a-Mania stamp was just the perfect image for colored pencils!  I black heat embossed with VersaMark and used Prisma Colored pencils.

As secretary for a Nature Club I send out thank you notes to speakers and people who provide tours for our group.  Here in Tucson this southwest image is just perfect!

Mothers Day Card

I ordered this stamp set from Lawn Fawn the very first day it was available !  I knew I would use it for my daughter's mothers day card.   (My two grandchildren create baskets of dirty clothes every single day.)
It meets the criteria for the Simon Says Monday Challenge (I Can See Clearly) and the challenge for my stamp club which is Polka Dots.
All papers are Graphic 45.  All stamps are from Lawn Fawn.
I made the washer full of polka dot socks into a shaker with beads that look like soap bubbles.
The Mama sign also has an acetate window.
This was not a quick card to make but I sure did enjoy making it.

I Can See Clearly

                                                    Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
This is totally copied from a Jennifer McGuire video tutorial.  I love how she sandwiched Hero Arts Clear Cardstock between layers of colored cardstock to achieve the see-through panel on the front of this aquarium card.  All products on this card are from Hero Arts.  The layered stamps make the fish look so professional!

Nana Camp

It's been a busy couple of weeks.  Above is the craft/painting project I set up at my granddaughter's 6th birthday party.  Her brother got in on the action!  He's actually doing well with a paint brush in his left hand!
Below is my granddaughter who is visiting with us for Spring Break.  She is a talented crafter!
I just love sharing my hobby with her.

Cute and Cuddly

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is "Cute and Cuddly"
This little Stampavie bunny is my definition of Cute and Cuddly.  She is stamped in Memento ink and colored with Copic markers.  A little sparkle is added to her eyes and nose with Spica clear pen and Glossy Accents.  The oval is cut with a MFT stitched oval.  The pattern paper is from K and Co, cardstock by Bazzill.

Maleficent Staff Pencils

                                                  Simon Says Wednesday Challenge; Green
My Granddaughter is a huge fan of the Disney made-for-tv movie The Descendants.  That is the theme for her birthday party.  In order to help with favors and decorations I had to research by watching the movie then checking out Pinterest.  As the Bunny Hops posted these pencils which replicate Maleficent's staff.  The shiny green at the top are irregular marbles purchased in the floral department at Michaels.  Black Polymer Clay worms wrap around the marble and down a black pencil.  The "staff" is then baked in a 210 degree oven for 10-15 minutes.  If the marbles come loose in the baking process they can just be glued back on.

Green Hat Ladies

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge;  Green
My friend had eye surgery today.  I made this card to cheer her up with one lady's eyes closed and the other wide open.  The pattern paper is fro KaiserKraft.  Cardstock  is from Bazzill.  The stamps from Inky Antics are stamped with Memento ink and colored with Copic Markers.  Die cut flowers are from Stamps of Life.  Wink of Stella, Stickles and gems are used to give the card bling.

top-of-the-morning to you!

Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge is making green cards.
This stamp set from North Coast Creations was just perfect because I LOVE coffee.  Irish coffee reminds me of San Francisco where my son and his wife live.  A perfect card for them!
The background papers are from Doodlebug.  Cardstock is from SU.  The rectangle die is from Simon Says Stamp.  Stickles, Glossy Accents and some micro beads enhance the card.

I Miss Your Face

Kristina Werner posted a YouTube Video of this Action Wobble dog from Paper Smooches.
I especially like the Paper Smooches sentiment "I Miss Your Face" as I say that to my grandchildren all the time.
I used this as yet another opportunity to make a background from Ken Oliver's Color Burst.
I am addicted to that stuff!

St. Patrick's Punch Art

I haven't done any punch art for a very long time.  It is so fun to watch the pieces come together!
I watched the YouTube tutorial by Dee Slater for this guy.  The punches are all from Stampin Up.
The die cut window is from A.i.  The tiny shamrocks are dies from i.o.  Paper is by Doodlebug.  The sentiment was from my computer.  My grandkids will like to open and close that window.
