Twinkling H2O

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge; Anything Goes

We just returned from a great trip to Santa Fe and surrounding areas.  One of our favorite stops was at the Taos Pueblo.  The colors in Native American art are so inspiring!
This Terry Maderis stamp and Sentiment are gold heat embossed.  The image is then colored with Twinkling H2Os.
I wish the shine of the H2Os was reflected better in the photo.

girly card

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Girly Card
Did I NEED another flower stamp?  NO!  But Sarah J. Moerman posted this beautiful card and I just had to have the Simon Says Stamp Spring Flower.  Sarah's card looks like this except I changed the SSS die cut sentiment and added a few sequins.  The card is done on watercolor paper and painted with Gansi watercolors.

Butterfly All Occasion

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge:  Butterflies
I'm teaching this card at my card-in-a-box group tomorrow.  (The Glitter Gals)
It could be for most any spring or summer occasion.
The Hero Arts background is stamped in Hero Arts dye ink.
The SU butterflies are stamped in Memento, colored with Copics and punched out with an SU punch.
Black gems are glued down the center of the bodies.
I think it's a very pretty card!

Foiled Butterfly

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge:  Butterflies
Next month I am doing a foiling demo for my paper crafting club.   I have had all of my foiling products out including the Toner Pen and Deco Foil Liquid Adhesive.

For this card I had my minc heated up and buzzing!

I printed the Stampendous butterfly on a laser printer then ran the print though my minc with iCraft deco foil.  I then fussy cut the butterfly.  It is magnificent in the rainbow foil!!!
I die cut the hello die from cardstock that had been laser printed totally black.  That word was then run through the minc with the rainbow deco foil as well.  If only the color and shine would have shown up in my photo!

The two elements were adhered to white cardstock which was dry embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Foiling is magical.  What I love most is extending the possibilities of my dies with foil.

Resist

                                                Simon Says Monday Challenge Resist
Whenever I'm in a stamping slump I go to Jennifer McGuire.  I have been among her groupies for maybe as many as 20 years going way way back to Cincinnati when she taught at a local scrapbook store.
The lady somehow convinces me that I can try something totally new.  So I just leap into an inky mess and follow her lead, no questions asked.  (She has also enabled my purchasing supplies that now fill a large studio!)
This card is a perfect example!  I've pretty much copied her card from a recent video called Black Resist.  I used Vintage Roses from Altenew and stamped them with inks from Simon Says Stamp.
I then clear heat embossed them twice.  "Fabulous" from MFT was stamped and white heat embossed.
I then took my Hero Arts Black ink pad direct to paper and totally covered the floral piece I had just stamped.  I used a Kleenex to wipe some of the black off of the images and there it is!!!
The pink background is clear heat embossed with Versamark.
Thanks, Jennifer!  You made my day a lot happier.

Elmos Birthday

Elmo has taken over my studio!
My grandson's 2nd birthday is later this week.  He is obsessed with Elmo!
My Cricut has been chirping getting ready for the fun.

you are Amazing

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  Anything Goes
A card posted by Yana Smakula with Altenew really caught my attention.  It was not a style at all typical of what I usually do.  But it was simply elegant.  This is a CASE of that card.
I used a frame by Tim Holtz.  Stamps are from Stampin Up.  Inks are Memento and Versafine.  Colors are from Copic.  It is done on XPress paper.
