I can't stop making these Valentines! There are so many cute critters and sentiments like this Hedgehog from MFT! Our six year old granddaughter is in the pun and knock knock phase.
She will love all of these plays on words.
Pattern paper is from Martha Stewart and Stampin Up. Die cut tree is by Stampin Up.
Nina-Marie Trapani recently posted a mini Valentine Explosion Card. That was the inspiration I had been hoping for! I have been going through stamps and sentiments and paper scraps totally enjoying making these cards! This is the new MFT Otter . . . so cute!

I just happen to be grandmother to THE Queen of the Fairies! My little six year old nurtures her fairy garden with a great sense of responsibility.
This was a monthly kit from Hero Arts that just had to be mine! It includes dies, stamps and papers.
It's hard to see in the photo, but behind the vellum are shadows of fairies which hang on invisible thread and swing with movement of the card.

I'm stretching the theme a little to What's Old is New or Make Way for the New!
Did you ever have paper so beautiful that's it was intimidating? That's the way I felt about this Heartfelt Creations Collection. It's a new year and time to use it so I'll have room for the next beautiful collection. I even got out my envelope punch board to make a matching envelope!
I used Spellbinders oval dies, SU punch for the tab, gold heat embossing and Spica pens with just a little Copic. Stickles and sequins add the bling.

I just grabbed Copics, found new combos and happily colored away. The Waving Hi bear is on an Action Wobble so he actually waves! Now how can you not smile while making something as cute as he is?
This is the first I've been in my studio since before Christmas! Travel to see our kids and grandkids was great. We got to see everyone including Husky granddog, Steffi.
This little bunny stamp from Newton's Nook had not yet been inked. Even though Christmas is over, it's still very much winter! So I finally got a chance to put this darling critter on a card. She is stamped in Memento and Colored with Copics. Background is a Hero Arts stamp resist with heat embossing and Distress ink. The Tim Holtz tree and Lawn Fawn Hill are die cut from SU white glitter paper. Mats are die cuts from Spellbinders. Paper from Ki. Sentiment from CTMH.
I need to give Stephanie Muzzulin credit for inspiring this card. I wanted to do some layering and it was her post that got me going.
